Team Up: Back To School
Comcast Central Division HR partnered with the Community Impact team for a 2022 back-to-school initiative, targeting elementary schools in the metro Atlanta area, to give school supplies. Employees of the Central Division Battery donated, via Amazon Wishlist, and sorted supplies to help stock teachers’ classrooms for the entirety of the school year and help alleviate the need of them spending their own money.

WIFI ON WHEELS
In response to Hurricane Ian, Comcast sent Wi-Fi vans from Comcast’s Smyrna, Georgia location, where they were to be deployed to impacted communities in Florida. The Wi-Fi van provides residents who are in range with free internet access. The service is available for anyone to use, including non-Xfinity customers. The vans’ Wi-Fi can accommodate up to 300 users at one time.

Comcast teammates are encouraged to help the company better understand the makeup of the employee population by completing the confidential Self-ID process in Workday. The campaign messaging is supported by employee photos sharing the way they identify.
